Create Your Account
Getting started with Bittery takes less than two minutes. Your account is secured from the very first step — we never see your password or encryption keys.
What you'll need
- An email address
- A strong master password (we recommend 14+ characters)
Sign up
Go to the sign-up page
Visit app.bittery.com and click Create Account.
Enter your email
Provide a valid email address. This is used as part of your encryption salt and for account recovery.
Choose a master password
Pick a strong, memorable password. This is the only password you'll ever need to remember. Bittery will never store or transmit it.
Save your Secret Key
After signing up, you'll receive a Secret Key in the format A3-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-.... Write this down and store it somewhere safe — it's required to sign in on new devices.

Your Secret Key cannot be recovered if lost. Store it in a secure physical location.

Your vault is created and encrypted. Start adding passwords, secure notes, and more.
Understanding your credentials
Bittery uses a dual-key architecture for maximum security:

| Account identifier and encryption salt | Yes |
Together, these derive your Master Unlock Key via PBKDF2 (600,000 iterations), which encrypts and decrypts everything in your vault.
